Welcome to Mrs. Courtney's Class!

Just a little about me! I am married to my wonderful husband Jeff, and we share three amazing children Katie 25, Ben 22 & Zach 17. A little secret about me I want to become a children's book author someday.   I have been teaching in the Grandview C4 school district for about 10 years.  The first 6 years I taught 2nd grade at MC, and then made the move to BGE and became a 4th grade teacher!  I went into teaching late in life graduating in 2010 from Ottawa University!  I am currently getting my Master's In Reading.  I became a teacher because I truly wanted to make a difference in children's lives as cliche' as it may sound.  I have found teaching to be extremely challenging, but mostly rewarding.  I feel blessed to be a teacher at one of the best schools in the district!  I also feel that I get to work with one of the most outstanding principal & staff's imaginable!
